Rough Carpentry

This is almost the hardest problem you have.  Some people are very lucky to have someone in the business who they know will do an excellent job roughing their home.  Just consider the implications of the importance of rough labor.  There are so many different quality rough labor crews it would astonish you.  Some charge $6 sq. ft., some $7 sq. ft., some $8a sq. ft. and, some as high as $12 a sq. ft.   Why do you think there is such a variation?

The experience and quality can be quite surprising.  If you shop the correct carpenter, you should be able to find a good, qualified one for $8.00 to $10.00 a sq. ft, plus extra's.  I have a list of four carpenter crews.  The only way to set this up is for you to call me and I will try and find one who is available in your area.

A 3,000 sq. ft. house will normally take anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks to rough if they have a five man crew with a skytrak machine.   Obviously, the times vary if they have more or less men.  A five man crew is quite common.  This will generally give you a qualified master carpenter, 2 highly skilled carpenters and 2 laborers.
