Drywall
A good drywall company can make your house or ruin a satisfied outcome. The inside of your home needs to be warm for the drywall to be installed, especially when the mudding and taping begins. Think of the drywall like this; a good drywaller can make a bad carpenter look good, and a bad drywaller can make a good carpenter look bad. Drywall is probably your 2nd most important interior item. (The 1st being your trim carpenter). Do not try and cut price here just because you are trying to save money. This is one spot where you truly get what you pay for. On the other hand, don’t go in with your eyes shut and just pay any price they ask. There is a lot of information in the video on this so maybe you could purchase our video. The change in character from a visual standpoint will be startling to you once it’s drywalled. DO NOT DELIVER YOUR DRYWALL IN THE WINTER TIME AND THAN IMMEDIATELY INSTALL IT. LET IT SET FOR 2 OR 3 DAYS AND GET TO ROOM TEMPERATURE 1ST. When we drywall we prefer to do our drywall in the following manner.
If you want to figure a price, calculate it at $4.00 a sq. ft. Example, if you have a 3000 sq. ft home you multiply that by $4.00 and you come up with $12000. This is a reasonable way to come close. If you have high vaulted ceilings and different angles you have to add more money. You also have to figure the garage in a similar fashion but you have to do your ceiling in your garage and the walls connecting to the house different because of fire codes. There is a different formula for garages. But the above math should at least give you an idea. Click here to return to home page
