Give me a call & I will recommend
a well company if you are building
in Michigan.
1 800 209-9992

You have to be very careful where you put the well in reference to where the location of the septic field is.  Call the county where you are purchasing in and see what their minimum requirements are.

Make sure you purchase the land subject to a well being approved by the health department.  Normally you do not have a lot to worry about regarding a well being found in Michigan.  But there are always those unusual circumstances which can come up.  Some areas are what they call a Well 1st area.  Think about that for a second.  If it is well 1st, this means there is the possibility of not being able to find water.  Can you imagine building a house and not having water.  Be careful.  When you purchase land make sure the property is buildable property.

The well people get real busy, and for the last 4 to 5 years they have been swamped.  (no pun intended) The best I can tell, the deeper the well the more iron and minerals and problems there can be.  But don't quote me on this.  I am just giving you my experience with wells.

The wells we have done are ranging in price from $3500 to $5000.  This does not include a cleaning system for your water.  Once you put in your well then you need to put a cleaning system in.  Click on the picture below to see a normal set up.

This system is complete in that it even has an additional 2 tanks to hold a special chemical to keep the iron out of the water while you are watering the grass to keep the concrete and brick from turning yellow.

If you are toward Milan Michigan there are some issues with low water tables.  The depth of the well's sometimes take you into sulfur areas.  When this happens you have to put in a special cleaning system and also a system which will keep the sulfur odors out of your home.
